The Pausanias Summer Research Fellowship

The Pausanias Summer Research Fellowship provides support to an undergraduate student in Classics for research abroad in sites of interest for classical studies. It may be used to pursue a project of the student’s own design or to participate in appropriate institutional programs abroad.

The Prize is expected to be worth $5,000 this year.

The Fellowship is limited to majors and minors in Classical Studies.

To apply for the Fellowship, please submit to our Administrative Assistant, Kathy Fox, by the Monday of second week of Spring Quarter of third year:

1.

A current copy of your transcript, and

2.

An itinerary or project statement of 2-3 pages, and

3.

A provisional budget, and

4.

A letter of recommendation from a faculty supervisor.

The successful applicant must also submit a written report of what they achieved during the Fellowship to the Director of Undergraduate Studies by the first week of Autumn Quarter of fourth year.
