Jimmy graduated with a B.A. in Classics (with Honors) and the Program of Liberal Studies from the University of Notre Dame in 2013, and then received a M.T.S. in History of Christianity in 2018. His interests reside in and radiate out from Homer. A philologist at heart, Jimmy's love of words draws him to focus on unique aspects of the language in Homer's poems and how these subtleties shape the narratives. He gives special care to how emotions are evoked in human and divine interactions; purple patches of emotional intensity within the high heroic pitch of the Iliad; the ways in which remembering and forgetting inform the tales of the Odyssey's story of coming home.
Outside the academy, Jimmy enjoys running and weightlifting.
