David Williams

I received a BA in Classics from Kenyon College, where I studied Greek, Latin, and classical civilizations while also developing an interest in political philosophy. Here at the University of Chicago, I am in the joint degree program with the Department of Classics and the Committee on Social Thought. I am particularly interested in Athenian drama and its relationship to the intellectual history of Archaic and Classical Greece, especially Aristophanes and Plato. Other general interests include: comedy, love and erotics, philology, and Nietzsche.
