Luke Parker

Research Interests: 

Ancient Greek poetry and poetics; Heraclitus; reception of antiquity in modern literature and philosophy

Biography: 

Luke earned a BA in Philosophy and Greek language and literature from Vassar College in 2008, and an MA from the University of Chicago in 2013.  A joint student in Classics and the Committee on Social Thought, he is currently working on the poetics of early Greek philosophy, Heraclitus in particular.  He has an ongoing interest in ancient Greek poetry and poetics together with their reception in modern literature and philosophy, especially as these pertain to thinking about "nature."
